Went for breakfast Saturday. They serve breakfast all day, which is great. Everything is cooked to order and all the staff from the servers to the cooks to the cashier are incredibly friendly. They have the best milkshakes! The drugstore portion of the building has some of the most awesome assortment of kitch I've ever seen! Need a last minute birthday card? They've got it! Looking for an extendable hot dog roasting stick? They've got it! No kidding! Tons of nostalgic candy buy the register. They'd be a 5 star establishment but every time we've been in they're out of something!

Great store with friendly staff. They replaced my watch battery for $4 at the front checkout counter. They have a dining area that makes real strawberry shakes. They have food specials everyday. They cook everything on a small griddle. There are restrooms in the back left corner.

Historical family run business on Canal St. We went specifically to have lunch at the old fashioned diner inside. Burgers, Fries & Onion Rings! Yummy! Our server was great too until she just disappeared? Another server took our dessert order. She did not write anything down and therefore did not get anything correct?!? My daughter ordered a chocolate milk shake and was served a chocolate mint shake? When we questioned it, the server blamed us for the mistake?!? She snatched the shake off the table and poured it into the sink. My wife ordered a chocolate sundae and also got chocolate mint?!? We did not have the heart to tell her it was wrong again. In the end, we are glad we went, but won't rush back.

Although this place is very nostalgic I was a little disappointed that it's no longer possible to experience the old soda fountains from days gone but the old original glassware is still stacked on the back of the counter however the Milk Shakes, Malts, Sundays and Floats are now served in paper and plastic cups I tried to enjoy one but it's just not the same. The old ceramic syrup dispensers are still in tack but the flavored syrups are squeezed out of plastic bottles. It's tragic that the younger generations won't ever get the true experience, in a few years it will all be archived in history books and old film clips. I grew up next to a Woolworth's and remember climbing up on the stools and leaning on the counter eating a burger or drinking a malt in the old fashioned glasses. It is nice to still have a small piece of history still in tack here in NSB on Canal Street so if you find yourself close drop in and experience what remains. If my ice cream was served in a glass bowl even if the price was double I would of given it 5 stars.

I grew up working in a family business in downtown Louisville that was near two lunch counters; one Walgreen's and the other Woolworth's. Those establishments are long since gone but when I found Little Drug Co's lunch counter all those memories rushed in. This place holds its own whether you're there for a burger, tuna melt (my choice), or a delicious chocolate shake or some other ice cream-based delight.

(02/20/2013) I think we really just love the place for nostalgia's sake. The Bush-Little drug store's been operating since 1922. We used to come to the counter when we were kids, stopped in recently to get an ice cream cone, sundae and float at the counter. They serve Hershey's, which is pretty decent ice cream (although you can get homemade elsewhere nearby in town). The pharmacy is fully functioning, should you find yourself downtown and need a scrip, or any of your usual sundries (gumdrops, greeting cards), personal items (shaving cream, deodorant), and novelties (souvenir key chains). Amazingly, they still deliver prescriptions and gift wrap items bought from the store. A llittle bit of NSB history still alive, check it out!

Overpriced and pharmacy is hit or miss. They don't pay attention and shorted me of my infants medicine.

There aren't many places like this left. This little store complete with lunch counter ( and booths) is very quaint. We came with a friend and enjoyed a very reasonably priced and delicious breakfast. Our server was very friendly and did a great job. Next time, I'll be having the milkshake made the old-fashioned way.
